This Privacy Policy explains what data the SnapLink Chrome extension (the "Extension") collects, how it is used, where and how it is stored, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have. SnapLink has a single purpose: to let you capture a screenshot and generate a shareable link for it. We only collect data needed to deliver that purpose.
We collect only the following categories of data, and only when you take an action that requires it:

The Extension does not read, collect, or transmit the content of web pages you visit, your browsing history, keystrokes, or form data. It does not run in the background to monitor your activity.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data. We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to SnapLink's single purpose stated above.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the service providers (sub-processors) strictly necessary to run SnapLink:

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the service.
When you create a shareable link, anyone who has that link can view the screenshot without signing in, unless you set the capture to private or delete it. Please do not capture sensitive information you do not wish to be viewable by anyone holding the link.
We keep your screenshots, links, and account data for as long as your account is active or until you delete them. When you delete a capture, the underlying image and metadata are removed from our active systems. When you delete your account, your associated personal data and stored screenshots are deleted. Backups and logs are retained for a limited period and then purged.
To exercise any of these rights, or to request full deletion, email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
The Extension uses your browser's local extension storage to keep you signed in and to store your preferences. This data stays in your browser and is not used for tracking.
SnapLink is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
